Why it matters in Durham
Specialized retail can offer experiences that are hard to replicate in a conventional big-box setting. For families looking for inclusive activities, the actual accessibility of a store matters as much as the marketing language. The shop's presence is another example of downtown commerce expanding beyond restaurants.
