DURHAM, NC (WNCN) – Three men were arrested this week in connection with the shooting death of Davicia Jean Ann Lee, 29, at Cook Out in south Durham, the County Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives said in a press release that criminal warrants were served Thursday on Alexander Kenyon Carlton Jr. 23-year-old and Calvin Jerade Spence Jr., 18, both of Durham. Both suspects are facing charges of murder, possession of a concealed weapon, conspiracy to commit murder and armed intimidation.
According to warrants, both Carlton Jr. and Spence Jr. they drew their guns on Lee when he came out of their argument, and shot him.
18-year-old Jamari Treyvon McKnight of Wake Forest was arrested by deputies on warrants including carrying a concealed weapon, resisting a public officer and going armed to intimidate people – all misdemeanors.
According to McKnight’s warrant, his gun was seen “tucked under his arm” at Cook Out during the fight. McKnight also refused to arrest the police.

Carlton Jr. and Spence Jr. appeared in court today at the Durham County Courthouse. So far, their release has not been approved.
McKnight will appear in court next week at the Durham County Courthouse, according to the clerk of courts. His responsibility is not authorized.
CBS 17 previously reported that Lee was shot and killed on October 25 around 10:30 pm outside of Cook Out in the 1500 block of South Miami Boulevard. Deputies said they found him dead at the scene, prompting an emergency investigation by the Sheriff’s Office County Criminal Investigations Division and the Forensics Division.
The Cook Out shooting happened during a shooting spree across the city during NC Central’s Homecoming weekend, which happened to be less than 5 miles from campus. Deputies say the shootings are isolated, including one recently arrested for injuring four people.
