DURHAM, NC – A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Durham, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
According to the Durham Police Department (DPD), officers responded at approximately 6:21 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of Castle Road. Upon arrival, police discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” DPD stated in an official release.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. While details remain limited, police have indicated that the incident appears to be isolated.
“This remains an active investigation. Additional details will be released at the appropriate time,” the statement read.
