On Thursday afternoon, the Durham Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Morehead Avenue and Kent Street. Officers arrived at approximately 5:39 p.m. and discovered shell casings at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.
This incident adds to a series of recent shootings in the area. Just three days prior, on October 28, shots were fired at the same intersection, with shell casings found but no reported injuries or damage.
