Durham, NC – Authorities are investigating the death of an elderly woman whose body was discovered Saturday afternoon during a welfare check in the 700 block of Audubon Lake Drive.
According to a news release from the Durham Police Department, officers were dispatched to the residence, located within the Audubon Lake Apartment Homes near NC 54 and Fayetteville Road, following a call for a welfare check.
“Upon arrival, officers found an elderly female victim deceased,” the statement read.
