Durham, NC – A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed during an altercation on a GoDurham bus Sunday afternoon, according to the Durham Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Lawndale and Hillsborough Roads, near the Food Lion shopping center east of Hillandale Road.

Authorities said the altercation began onboard a GoDurham city bus. Following the disturbance, both individuals exited the bus, at which point the suspect stabbed the victim.

Emergency responders transported the injured man to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported as life-threatening.
