The shooting occurred in the 4800 block of Danube Lane around 2:40 PM. AJ, described by friends and family as a bright and caring individual, was reportedly playing in the snow when he was fatally shot. Police have not released information about potential suspects or a motive for the shooting.

On Wednesday, investigators released a photograph of a 2016 white Hyundai Sonata with North Carolina license plate PHB5033, which police say was stolen early Saturday and is suspected to have been used in the crime.
