Durham Man Arrested in Connection to August Sexual Assault

Durham, N.C. — A Durham man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on August 4, 2024. The Durham Police Department announced Wednesday that Quentin Holloway, 39, is facing multiple charges related to the incident, which took place in the early morning hours in the 1100 block of Jackson Street.

Details of the Incident

According to police, the reported assault occurred just after 1 a.m. on August 4. The suspect, identified as Holloway, is alleged to have forcibly entered a residence, assaulted the victim, and committed several criminal acts before fleeing the scene.

Holloway was arrested Tuesday in Charlotte by the Durham Police Department in coordination with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.

Charges Filed

Holloway faces the following charges:

• First-Degree Forcible Rape

• First-Degree Forcible Sex Offense

• First-Degree Burglary

• Assault by Strangulation

• Larceny After Breaking and Entering

• Misdemeanor Stalking

He is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail without bond.
