Duke’s Phenom Cooper Flagg Celebrates 18th Birthday Amidst Stellar Freshman Season

Durham, NC – December 21, 2024 – Cooper Flagg, the standout freshman for the Duke Blue Devils, celebrates his 18th birthday today, marking a significant milestone in a year already filled with remarkable achievements.

Hailing from Newport, Maine, Flagg has rapidly become a pivotal player for Duke. Standing at 6-foot-9, he leads the team across multiple statistical categories, averaging 15.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game.

Flagg’s impact was particularly evident in Duke’s recent 68-47 victory over George Mason, where he contributed 24 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Prior to joining Duke, Flagg had an illustrious high school career at Montverde Academy in Florida, where he averaged 16.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.7 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game, leading his team to a perfect 30-0 record and a national championship.
