DURHAM, NC (WNCN) — Roads are detoured after a person was hit by a car on NC Highway 55, Durham police said.
Police said they were responding to a car accident involving a pedestrian in the 4200 block of Apex Highway, which caused the road to be closed.
Police then closed NC 55 between Carpenter Fletcher Road and Meridian Parkway, according to a Facebook post around 7:40 a.m. Monday.
Police said the road was reopened around 10:30 a.m. as they continue to investigate the accident.
