A local veterinarian donates pet oxygen supplies to Durham Fire Department trucks

DURHAM, NC (WNCN) – Every fire truck in Durham will be equipped with life-saving equipment for pets following a donation from a local veterinarian Thursday.

Eno Animal Hospital said it donated 15 pet respirators to the Durham Fire Department. Funding was provided by pet owners and Eno team members, with the animal hospital matching each donation.

According to the animal hospital, the donation was part of Snout Support, a fundraising initiative founded in 2018 by Eno’s owner and lead veterinarian Dr. Sabrina Grinstead.
