A Nebraska man has been arrested and charged in connection with an ongoing human trafficking investigation in Durham, police announced. Jerry Demario Guess, 39, of Falls City, Nebraska, faces three counts of trafficking an adult victim.
According to the Durham Police Department, Guess was taken into custody on October 18 and is currently being held in the Durham County Jail under a $6 million bond. The investigation, which involves incidents in Durham and across the country, has linked Guess to three separate trafficking cases earlier this year.
Detectives are now working to gather more information and are eager to speak with other individuals who may have worked with Guess in Durham or who might have relevant details about the case.
