Durham, NC — Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the September 15 shooting death of 23-year-old Dashaun Johnson, according to the Durham Police Department.
Police identified the suspects as Marcus Beatty Jr., 22; Elijah Page, 20; and Simone Cameron, 19. Each has been charged with murder, and Beatty and Cameron face additional charges of conspiracy to commit murder. All three are currently being held in the Durham County Jail without bond.
On the evening of September 15, Durham police responded around 6:00 p.m. to reports of a gunshot wound near Glenbrook Drive and Dubonnet Place. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
